Hi! I am Amel Derragui
After a successful career in marketing and advertising, I made the difficult decision to leave my job and follow my husband abroad.
I knew how challenging it would be to find work with each move, so in 2011, I launched my consulting business to support global organizations with their communication and marketing strategies. I created my own methodology to ensure that my business was portable and location independent, allowing me to create stability and generate consistent revenue through transitions from a country to another.
In 2015, I launched Tandem Nomads, a podcast and e-learning platform aimed at helping expat spouses turn career challenges into portable businesses. I also offer speaking engagements, workshops, and training for organizations like the World Food Programme and the Belgian Foreign Ministry to empower their employees’ spouses through entrepreneurship.
My podcast, THE TIME IS NOW, had been ranked since 2019 as the #1 expat podcast and is in the top 2% worldwide with over 300 episodes. My work has been featured in international media such as Forbes Magazine.
I’m passionate about social impact, women’s empowerment, and youth empowerment through entrepreneurship. I’m honored to have helped over 200 women across the world start or grow their portable businesses, and I look forward to supporting many more!
